We were absolutely thrilled to welcome author Banji Alexander to our school for a day that was nothing short of inspirational, creative, and full of joy.
Banji Alexander, best known for his popular children’s book Lockdown Looms: Reggie’s Birthday Party, visited our school to share his journey as an author, inspire young writers, and celebrate the power of storytelling. His warm, energetic presence immediately lit up the room and created a truly memorable experience for pupils.
As part of his visit, Banji held lively sessions with our students where he read excerpts from his book, shared stories about his life and writing journey, and encouraged everyone to believe in their own unique voice. He spoke about the importance of resilience, self-expression, and creativity, a message that resonated with our pupils!
A highlight of the day was when Banji led everyone in singing his empowering new song, New King. Many pupils said it was their favourite part of the day.
We are incredibly grateful to Banji Alexander for his visit. His message of empowerment and creativity has left a lasting impact on our school community, and we look forward to welcoming him back in the future.
