Horticulture Competition

Wexham Court Primary enters the Horticulture Competition

On Tuesday 12th July, we welcomed 3 Judges to spend the morning with us to see the beautiful plants and flowers that the children have been growing and taking care off.

Out of the produce that we grew, some of our amazing parents cooked mouthwatering dishes which were served to the judges - It's safe to say they LOVED the food!

The judges were extremely impressed with everything from the poly tunnel, decorations, food and the scarecrows! The theme was the Queens Jubilee and I think we definitely stuck to the brief. The children made jam and decorated the jam jars, painted the small wooden baskets and created jubilee themed bunting - it looked amazing.

A big thank you is also owed to the sixth form volunteers from Wexham Secondary School and parent volunteers who helped massively with clearing out the poly tunnel and flower beds, getting rid of all the weeds and planting the new flowers and produce. Team work makes the dream work!
